Pieces that feel real

Every piece is lit and shadowed like cardboard. Pieces snap together with a soft click and join into groups that you can move as one. You can keep a few pieces in your Hand while you work the board, and sort the Box to show only edge pieces or to group pieces by color.

Puzzles come in eight sizes, from 36 pieces to 1,024. Every picture comes in every size.

How to play Snugtrail

A trail to travel

The trail has six sections: Orchard Hollow, Harbor Lights, Snowy Peaks, Tulip Rows, Red Canyon and Lantern Night. Each section has ten stops, and the last stop is a boss puzzle. Beating the boss opens the next section.

Sharing an iPad: the Kids profile

Snugtrail is made for grown-ups, and it includes a Kids profile for a child playing on the same device. The Kids profile has big pieces, friendly pictures, and puzzles from 9 to 49 pieces. It has no timers, no scores, no purchases and no links out of the app. Leaving the Kids profile needs a grown-up.

A weekly league

A new league puzzle opens every day, and a league week runs from Monday to Sunday. The league has four tiers: Bronze, Silver, Gold and Diamond. It opens as a practice league: the names on the table are Tuck's friends, who are characters, not real players. The league is free, and nothing you can buy makes a league puzzle easier.

The weekly league, the first two trail sections, a free picture every day and puzzles up to 196 pieces are always free. Snugtrail Plus adds the whole picture library, all six trail sections and the three largest sizes. In the United States, Snugtrail Plus costs $4.99 a month or $29.99 a year, after a 7-day free trial. Prices vary by country.
