The Kids profile: sharing one iPad
Snugtrail is a jigsaw puzzle game made for grown-ups. It includes a Kids profile, so that a child can play on a grown-up's iPhone or iPad. A grown-up switches to the Kids profile with the profile button at the top of the screen.
What a child gets
- Big pieces. Kids profile puzzles come in 9, 16, 25, 36 and 49 pieces.
- Friendly pictures. The Kids profile has its own 12 pictures, including Dino Valley, Farmyard Friends, Rocket Ride and Little Train.
- A sticker book. A child earns stickers for finishing puzzles.
- No waiting. The Kids profile has no plays to run out of.
What the Kids profile leaves out
The Kids profile has:
- no timers and no scores;
- no purchases, and no prices shown;
- no leagues;
- no links out of the app;
- no sharing.
Leaving the Kids profile
Switching back to a grown-up profile needs a grown-up. The gate is a button that has to be pressed and held for 2 seconds.
Play limits and quiet hours
A grown-up can set a daily play limit and quiet hours for the Kids profile, under Me, then Family, then Screen time. Time counts only while a puzzle is open. At the limit, or during quiet hours, Tuck shows a friendly stop screen in place of the board.
These settings and the minutes played stay on the device. They are not sent to Crater Ink Studios.
Privacy
Snugtrail does not collect personal information from children. A Kids profile holds puzzle progress, its sticker book, and a nickname chosen by the grown-up. Snugtrail shows no ads. The privacy policy has the details.
